In the heart of College Station, Texas, destiny wove its magic in 2016, bringing John and Kiersten together for the first time. John’s captivating smile caught Kiersten’s eye at a spirited Halloween philanthropy event, but her shyness held her back. Little did they know, four months later at a vibrant Mardi Gras celebration, fate would reunite them. With her heart racing, Kiersten found the courage to strike up a conversation with John, and from that moment on, they've talked every day since.

After graduating from Texas A&M University, Kiersten embarked on her teaching career in Houston, while John completed his studies at the University of Houston, where they both proudly share alma maters.

Traveling together and cheering for their favorite team, the Houston Astros, has become a cherished part of their journey. They’ve created unforgettable memories, from the excitement of Super Bowl LI to the thrill of the 2021 World Series, where they witnessed the Astros take on the Braves. Their adventures have also taken them to beautiful places like Belize, California, and Florida.

In 2022, a new chapter began when John accepted a job in the Austin area, leading them to their cozy home in Georgetown, Texas, where they now share their lives with their beloved fur baby, Macey. It was in this intimate setting that John proposed, creating a heartfelt moment just for the two of them and their faithful companion. With love in his eyes and the warmth of home surrounding them, he asked Kiersten to be his partner for life, embracing the simple beauty that defines their relationship.
